The SRA concert was a huge success, raising over $8,000.00.

We want to thank everyone who attended in addition to our sponsors Mitchells of Westport, The Graham Foundation and the Reiner Foundation. The bands were excellent and really got the crowd up on their feet. A representative from The Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) visiting from Ghana gave a heartwarming and informative speech.

The money raised was donated to the GYCA to help with their outreach programs and to the UNHCR which they will use for their refugee camps in Iraq.

According to the UNHCR "By September 2007, the number of internally displaced Iraqis was estimated at more than 2.2 million, with over a million of the total having been displaced since February 2006. The current rate of displacement is some 40,000 to 60,000 persons per month. The humanitarian situation inside Iraq is dire and continues to deteriorate."
